You’ve always enjoyed reading about dinosaurs and see them in the Jurassic World and Jurassic Park movies. Would you like to have a roaring good time roaring with the dinosaurs? If your answer is yes, then you’ll want to go to Jurassic Quest.
Jurassic Quest is the world’s largest and most popular dinosaur attraction. It’s coming to the Peoria Civic Center in Peoria, Illinois, on November 12 to 14, 2021. Walk among more than 100 life sized animatronic dinosaurs. Seeing them come to life is a thrilling experience for both children and adults.
Every dinosaur was painstakingly reproduced in all detail. Leading paleontologists were consulted to make sure the dinosaurs were accurately portrayed. These incredibly realistic dinosaurs are true in size and detail.
Each dinosaur took months to construct. They are made out of layers of foam over an animatronic metal frame. There are motors inside each dinosaur that make its movements. These dinosaurs will move, turn their heads, swing their tails and some actually walk.
Dinosaur Species at Jurassic Quest
You’ll see dinosaurs in all sizes from the chicken-sized Microraptor, the turkey-sized Psittacosaurus to the Apatosaurus with its long neck reaching 40 feet high. Some of the dinosaurs have feathers, while others have fur or scales. See the carnotaurus with spikes all over its body and horns on its head.
Watch these prehistoric creatures move and roar. They are thrilling but not scary at all.
Kids can climb up and ride some of the dinosaurs. You can dig for fossils. See an authentic Triceratops horn, a life sized dinosaur skull and an authentic Tyrannosaurus Rex tooth.
You can walk through the periods – Cretaceous, Jurassic and Triassic – and learn about the dinosaurs in each period. You’ll be entertained by the Walking Dinosaur Show and the Baby Dinosaur Show.
You’ll enjoy meeting the baby dinosaurs, including Cammie the Camarasaurus, Trixie the Triceratops and the adorable Tyson the Tyrannosaurus Rex. See ancient ocean dwellers including the largest apex predator that ever roamed the planet, the life sized 50 foot long Megalodon.
Jurassic Quest has timed entries. That is to make social distancing easier, eliminating large crowds and creating a safe and accessible environment.
