The Granada Theater began as a silent film era theater. It is the last authentic “atmospheric auditorium” in Minneapolis with a curved, midnight blue ceiling. When people were in the theater, it was like they were watching a movie outdoors under the stars. Projected twinkling lights and clouds on the ceiling plus artificial trees added to the feeling and made it seem magical.
On Friday, December 30, 2022, you can come to the Granada Theater for a New Year’s Latin Dance Party under that same arched midnight blue ceiling. Enjoy a fabulous dance party with Latin music to say farewell to 2022 to welcome in the New Year!
The doors will open at the theater at 8:30 pm. The show will begin with DJ William El Bueno playing music from Latin America. He’ll be playing the hottest Timba, Bachata, Salsa, Reggaeton and more to keep everyone dancing. The holiday spirit will be dialed up with complimentary party favors.
Following DJ William El Bueno will be the La Clave Orquestra. They are a Twin Cities based 12 piece band bringing music from the Latin American countries and other Spanish speaking countries. La Clave Orquestra will be performing many styles of music, including Salsa, Montuno, Guaguanco, Cumbia and more.
Tap your foot, clap your hands and sway with the music. The Latin music will keep the dance floor crowded all night. Get out on the dance floor and make your dance moves to the beat of the different music. Go with the flow of the night!
