The 16th Annual Gateway Blues Festival is coming to the St. Louis’ Stifel Theatre on March 29, 2024, at 8 pm.  If you love the blues, you’ll be blown away by this musical extravaganza.  Music enthusiasts will be captivated by the festival’s stellar line up of talent.  They will immerse the audience in the rich and vibrant world of blues music.

King George

King George is a singer with a rich and smooth tone and versatility in his music.  Blending feel good transitions with the old school style of blues makes for a unique sound for a unique showman.  His greatest hits include “Night-time,” “Keep On Rollin’.” “Leave & Party,” “Too Long” and “Friday Nights.”

Pokey Bear

Pokey Bear is often called a Southern soul singer, a music genre combining blues, R&B and traditional soul music.  His style has been compared to Willie Clayton and James Brown.  Pokey Bear has won the Southern Soul Music Award for both Entertainer of the Year and Male Vocalist of the Year.  His biggest hits include “Mr. Hit It & Quit It,” “They Call Me Pokey,” “The Sidepiece” and “One Night Stand.”


Tucka blends the blues with soul and zydeco.  He’s known for his Barry White and R Kelly inspired tunes.  He is known to many as the “King of Swing.”  His biggest hits include “Til The Sun Comes Up,” “Work It Out,” “Pillow Talk” and “Candyland.”

Theodis Ealey

Theodis Ealey is a blues singer, guitarist and bandleader.  His nickname is “the Bluesman Lover.”  His biggest hits include “Please Let Me In,” “If You Keep Rockin’” and “Move With The Music.”

West Love 

West Love’s song “Down In The Kuntry,” a duet with Stan Butler, won the Best Chitlin’ Circuit Blues Song of 2021.  She’s been called the new generation of soul.


A contemporary Southern R&B artist, J-Wonn is known for his mellow tunes and deep vocals.  His biggest hit would have to be “I Got This Record.”
