Have you ever wondered what it would be like to live in the Renaissance Era, a culturally & artistically affluent European era in the 16th century? Well, wonder no more! Instead, buy a ticket to the Kansas City Renaissance Festival! After all, King Henry VIII and his royal court have invited you and your family and friends to his 16th Century European village, where there’s something all ages can enjoy.
The Kansas City Renaissance Festival is currently going on in Bonner Springs, Kansas. This is about fifteen minutes west of downtown Kansas City, Missouri. It started on September 3, 2021, but don’t worry! You still have time to go! It runs through October 17th, 2021.
Entertainment
There are twenty-five stages throughout the festival with amazing entertainment. This includes musical acts, specialty groups, and even jousting!
You get to see a lot of great historic and magical characters. There’s a royal court led by King Henry, Queen Elizabeth, and Princess Isabel. Lord Gregory and Lady “Cinnamon” Spicer, otherwise known as the Baron and Baroness of Worcester, are in attendance. You can see fairies and mermaids. There’s even a daily Grand March Parade at 12:30 PM!
There are also games and rides that are a lot of fun.
