Looking for some good old-fashioned, family-friendly fun this fall in the Chicago, Illinois area? Well, I think that describes the Pumpkin Patch Festival to a T!
The Pumpkin Patch Festival takes place on the Southwest corner of Harlem Avenue and 79th Street in the Bridgeview village of Cook County, Illinois. It is a three-week event designed for kids and adults. It takes place on on the following dates:
- Week 1: October 11, 12, 13, 14, 2024
- Week 2: October 18, 19, 20, 2024
- Week 3: October 25, 26, 27, 2024
So what goes on at this annual fall festival? There are carnival rides like a Ferris wheel and a carousel. There’s a petting zoo for kids where children can get up-close time with some great animals. Children and adults both can enjoy live entertainment at this event, like music and a magic show. There are food and drinks available if you get hungry or thirsty.
And of course there are a whole lot of pumpkins! Going to the pumpkin patch is a great way to find that perfect jack-o-lantern you can carve or paint in time for Halloween. You can also get pumpkins you can use in your favorite recipes. This includes pumpkin soup, pumpkin bread, pumpkin cookies, pumpkin smoothies, pumpkin muffins, and of course my favorite, pumpkin pie.
This is a great way to spend time with your family and have fun this fall. It is definitely an event you’ll want to visit.
