Ever wonder what it was like to live in America two hundred years ago?  Well, wonder no more.  No, I have not developed a time machine.  Instead, I want to tell you about the Yankee Peddler Festival!

The Yankee Peddler Festival is a celebration and exploration of the pioneering days of America.  You’ll feel as if you’re back in everyday life in America around 1776 to 1825.

The Yankee Peddler Festival takes place three weekends in September: September 10th-11th, September 17th-18th, and September 24th-25th.  It takes place from 10:30 AM to 5:30 PM.  It takes place at Clay’s Park Resort in Canal Fulton, Ohio, part of the Canton-Massillon, OH metro area.  By having the festival at Clay’s Park Resort, you get seventy-five acres of entertainment for your family.

And boy, is there a lot of activities at the Yankee Peddler Festival.  Enjoy hands-on demonstrations from master crafters and artists.  Watch them turn nature into unique pieces of art you can purchase!  You can also visit with militia and mountain men.  And if you ever want to know what’s also going on at the festival fairgrounds, don’t worry.  Town criers will update you throughout the day!

There is also food available at the Yankee Peddler Festival.  But not just any food.  You can get food from colonial days that is cooked over open fires.

This is the 49th annual Yankee Peddler Festival, but it could be the best one yet.  So make sure you are there.  And you can ensure this by purchasing a ticket ahead of time.  This is a good idea, too, because you can save money on your ticket.
