Dracula
In 2006, Atlantic City Ballet presented its inaugural “Dracula” at Halloween. In response to popular demand, Atlantic City Ballet performed “Dracula” the next year at Halloween and the next. Halloween just isn’t the same in Atlantic City without seeing this beautiful ballet, not unlike those who attend the Nutcracker each year.
Audiences love the brilliant choreography, captivating music, stunning sets and gorgeous costumes. It mixes passion and romance with pain and horror.
“Dracula” was choreographed by the Atlantic City Ballet Founder and Artistic Director, Phyllis Papa. It is based on the Bram Stoker novel. Despite the subject matter, this production is family friendly and enjoyed by people of all ages.
This Atlantic City tradition has a following that increases every year. Audiences are invited to come in costume. A costume parade will be held after the performance of “Dracula.” A costume contest will also be held with prizes.
