The 21st annual Washington Ukrainian Festival is coming to the St. Andrew Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral in Silver Spring, Maryland. Silver Spring is in the greater Washington, D.C., Metropolitan area. This will be happening on September 13, 14 and 15, 2024.
Come and enjoy the works of Ukrainian artists, singers, dancers, crafts, children’s activities, Kozak beer garden and delicious Ukrainian food.
Ukraine is located in Eastern Europe and is the second largest European country after Russia. Ukraine has been in the news a lot in the past year and a half. If you have any questions about the country, its people or its culture, the festival would be a fun way to get some answers. A portion of the proceeds will go for humanitarian aid to Ukraine.
The festival made its debut in 2002 and was a big success from the beginning. Last year, it attracted more than 12,000 attendees and there were more than 30 vendors in Vendor Village.
