Darkness Rising was voted as Long Island’s #1 top rated Haunted Attraction for 6 years in a row and has received 8 awards. This year it is twice as scary because they’ve returned with TWO back to back haunted attractions.
Darkness Rising is seriously scary. This is not for the faint of heart or children under 12 years of age.
The sets are detailed and scary. Their creativity is amazing. The props, state of the art special effects and animatronics are movie quality. Their intense actors are outstanding. Costumes and make up are also movie quality.
They have different themes every year. Last year’s themes were The Haunting Of Black Gulch and Gentec Laboratories.
This year, the haunted houses are Jack The Ripper’s Reign of Terror and The Coven’s Curse. As a big fan of the Jack the Ripper legends, I am really excited about that that is one of the themes. It is set on the spooky streets of Victorian England. Can you escape the infamous serial killer?
The Coven’s Curse is great, too. This haunted attraction is set in a set village in the 1600s, where a coven of witches cast a dark spell. Can you get out alive?
