Walk among the dinosaurs. See the towering Tyrannosaurus Rex. Be amazed at the Carnotaurus with spikes all over its body and horns on its head. Watch these prehistoric creatures move and roar. They are thrilling, but not scary at all.
If that sounds like fun to you, then you’ll want to go to Jurassic Quest, the world’s largest and most popular dinosaur attraction. Jurassic Quest will be at the Maryland State Fairgrounds in Lutherville-Timonium on January 14, 15, 16 and 17, 2022.
You’ll see over 100 life sized animatronic dinosaurs. They are not statues. The dinosaurs can move, swing their tails, turn their heads and some actually walk.
Each dinosaur took months to create. They are made out of foam that is placed over an animatronic metal frame. Motors are placed inside the dinosaurs and that’s what makes them move.
Every dinosaur was painstakingly reproduced every detail. The top paleontologists were consulted to make sure the dinosaurs were accurately portrayed. They are incredibly realistic and are true in size and detail.
These dinosaurs come in all sizes. You’ll see the turkey sized Psittacosaurus. Marvel at the Spinosaurus which was the largest predatory dinosaur to ever walk the planet. Some of the dinosaurs have scales, some have fur and others like anzu are covered in feathers.
Visit the Ancient Oceans Exhibit with the moving, life sized 50 foot long Megalodon. You’ll see a velociraptor, Troodon, Allosaurus, Aquilops, Pteranodon, Utahraptor and more.
Kids can ride these enormous creatures. Go on a fossil dig, make crafts at the Crafts Station and color at the Coloring Station. You’ll be entertained by the Walking Dinosaur Show. The Baby Dinosaur Show is always a hit. See an authentic Tyrannosaurus Rex tooth, an authentic Triceratops horn and a life sized dinosaur skull.
