Sad Summer Festival is a touring pop, punk and alternative rock festival. The festival is presented by Journeys and Converse.
It will be coming to the Rooftop at Pier 17 in New York City on August 1, 2023, at 2 pm.

Mayday Parade is a rock band from Tallahassee, Florida. Their debut album “Tales Told By Dead Friends” was released in 2006, selling over 50,000 copies without any label support. Mayday Parade members include Derek Sanders acoustic guitar, Jake Bundrick drum kit, Brooks Betts guitar, Alex Garcia lead guitar, Jeremy Lango bass guitar and Jason Lancaster guitar. Their latest release is “Pretty Good To Feel Something.”
The Maine
The Maine is a rock band from Tempe, Arizona formed in 2007. The group consists of lead vocalist, pianist and guitarist John O’Callaghan, bass guitarist Garrett Nikelson, lead guitarist Jared Monaco, rhythm guitarist Kennedy Brook, drummer Patrick Kirch and Alex Ross.
The Wonder Years
The Wonder Years is a rock band from Lansdale, Pennsylvania. Music genres include Alternative/Indie and Dance/Electronic. Band members include Dan “Soupy” Campbell, Matt Brasch, Casey Cavaliere, Nick Steinborn, Josh Martin and Mike Kennedy. Their most recent LP “You’ll Be Fine” propelled them to be at the front line of the emo scene.
We the Kings
We the Kings is an Alternative/Indie rock band from Bradenton, Florida. Its debut album had the platinum single “Check Yes Juliet.” Members of the band are Travis Clark lead vocalist, Drew Thomsen bassist, Hunter Thomsen guitarist, and Denny Duncan drums.
Real Friends
Real Friends is a pop punk emo band from Tinley Park, Illinois. They are currently signed to Pure Noise Records. Cody Muraro is lead vocalist.
Knuckle Puck
Knuckle Puck is a pop punk rock band from the Chicago suburbs. Their name comes from the “knucklepuck” shot in ice hockey. Its members include Nick Casasanto, Kevin Maida, Ryan Rumchaks, John Siorek and Joe Taylor.
Daisy Grenade
Daisy Grenade is a power punk bubble grunge band. Dani Nigro and Keaton Whittaker make up the duo. Their record label is MYSF Records and their albums are “Cult Classic” and “Sophmore Slump.”
Diva Bleach
Diva Bleach is an Alternative/Indie pop rock duo from Phoenix, Arizona. Sydney Roten vocalist/bassist and Brie Ritter guitarist. They share stories of friendship and heartbreak through their music. Their new single is “Torn In Two.”
The Summer Set
The Summer Set is a pop rock band from Scottsdale, Arizona. Their new album “Blossom” is out now.
Hot Milk
Hot Milk is an emo power pop duet fronted band from Manchester, England. They hope to create an open and warm sphere where everyone is invited.
Like Roses
Like Roses is an Alternative/Indie emo band from Berkeley, California. Amy Schmaikuche is the vocalist/guitarist.
