Can you believe that today is Opening Day for the baseball season? It seems like just yesterday the Phillies were playing in the World Series. And now the Phillies are back in what could be an even better season!
So this means we have a lot of great baseball in store. And that also means that we can start preparing for some great theme nights at Citizens Bank Park!
Some of these theme nights are coming up very quickly. One of these is the Phillies’ Asian Pacific Heritage Night!
Yes, the Phillies will be hosting their 18th annual Asian Pacific Heritage Celebration. It takes place on Monday, April 10, 2023, at 6:40 PM, when the Phillies take on the Miami Marlins. And this one could be the best one yet!
Philippine Folk Arts Society of Philadelphia will be performing pre-game at Pass & Stow, the popular fan destination area that has an outdoor beer garden, a family-friendly sports pub, Goose Island Bar at the Park, and Foundry Pizza. PFASI is always doing great things in the community, like their recent benefit concert “Rising Together” at DoubleTree by Hilton Philadelphia Airport.
The Philadelphia Suns will be roaming the concourse area throughout the game. The Philadelphia Suns have enriched the Asian communities of Philadelphia through sports & service since 1972. Some of what they provide to the community include Lion dances, basketball & volleyball teams, regional tournaments, summer leagues, Broad Street Run, and more.
During the game, you can enjoy entertainment provided by the Pan-Asian Dance Troupe. The Pan Asian Dance Troupe is the premier Asian fusion dance group from the University of Pennsylvania. In addition to performing at Phillies games, they have performed at venues such as Carnegie Hall and the Korean American Students Conference (KASCON).
