If you’re spending New Year’s Eve in Orlando, Florida then you’re in a great place, because the city will come alive with tons of fun activities, for children and adults alike!  Here are Green Vacation Deals, we’ve found the 20 best New Year’s Eve activities, and you’re sure to find something on your list that gets you excited to ring in 2019!

  1. Universal Studios Florida: The Music Plaza Stage & the Central Park areas of Universal Studios Florida will be transformed into party zones.  You’ll be able to enjoy live music, appearances by your favorite Universal characters and the Universal Orlando’s Cinematic Celebration which has amazing pyrotechnic displays & a shower of confetti at midnight.  And this is included in admission to Universal Orlando, which you can buy at a discount through Best of Orlando.
  2. Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World: Dance your way into 2019 at one of the dance parties at Frontierland & Tomorrowland, which last from 7:00 PM to midnight.  You can also enjoy the Fantasy in the Sky Fireworks at 6:30 PM and 11:50 PM.   You can buy discounted Disney World tickets here.

Celebrations Around the World Showcase at EPCOT at Walt Disney World: As the clock strikes midnight in each nation around the World Pavilion, listen out for an announcement & look to the sky for a burst of fireworks!  There are also themed events around the World Showcase, plus live music at America Gardens Theatre. And if you want a great way to roll in the New Year East Coast USA time, enjoy Illuminations: Reflections of Earth at 11:40 PM followed by a countdown to midnight & a New Year’s Eve display.  You can buy discounted Walt Disney World tickets here.
  4. SeaWorld: You can enjoy a wonderful musical celebration and fireworks display if you head to the park on New Year’s Eve – and you can save 20% on tickets by booking online in advance.
  5. LEGOLAND Florida: If you have children (especially young children), then you might want to check out the Kids New Years Party at LEGOLAND Florida.  As the title implies, it is very kid-centric and the fireworks are actually at 7:00 PM which is great if you want to get your kids in bed at a certain time.
  6. Rock ‘Til The Drop 2019 New Year’s Eve at Hard Rock: This is a great event for all ages, held at Hard Rock Cafe at Universal CityWalk.  It features live entertainment from Epic Evolve: The Decades Show. Admission includes a dinner buffet, unlimited soda or water and a champagne toast at midnight (but only if you are 21 years old or older).  You can buy discounted tickets for this event through StubHub.
  7. Orlando’s Ultimate Tropical New Year’s Eve: How about dancing in the New Year by heading to the Avanti Palms Resort and Conference Center, where you can enjoy a bachata extravaganza complete with a champagne toast!  You can buy a discounted ticket by clicking here.
  8. ICON Orlando: Take in the New Year’s Eve on the tallest observation wheel in all of North America.  You can book a discounted ticket through Reserve Orlando.

Loews Royal Pacific Resort: A great place to spend New Year’s Eve is at Loews Royal Pacific Resort, where you can enjoy a variety of fun New Year’s Eve festivities, like the Wantilan New Year’s Eve Luau, Jakes “Best of 2018” Beer Dinner, the New Year’s Eve Buffet, the New Year’s Eve Dessert Buffet and even a New Year’s Day breakfast buffet.
  10. New Year’s Eve at Loews Sapphire Falls ResortLoews Sapphire Falls Resort has multiple New Year’s activities at their resort, which include a New Year’s Eve Celebration, a New Year’s Eve Buffet, and a New Year’s Day Breakfast Buffet
  11. New Year’s Eve Party on the Piazza at Loews Portofino Bay: Ring in the New Year at Harbor Piazza at Loew’s Portofino Bay,  where you can enjoy a DJ, dancing and sparkling wine toast. Cabana Bay’s New Year’s Eve Party Spectacular: This New Year’s Party is for guest only at Universal’s Cabana Bay (you can book a stay here) and is held at the hotel’s Bayliner Diner.   The party lasts from 8:00 PM to 12:30 AM and includes balloon artists, a carving dining special and a midnight balloon special.
  13. New Year’s Eve in Urban Pantry: Enjoy a New Year’s Eve Party at Bar 17 Bistro with a live DJ at Universal’s Aventura Hotel.
  14. New Year’s Eve Splash Bash!: A wonderful, family-friendly way to ring in the New Year would be the New Year’s Eve Splash Bash held at the Holiday Inn Resort Orlando Suites starting at 7:00 PM.  A ticket to this event gets you party favors, champagne & kid’s punch toast, 20% off foods & drinks sold at the hotel’s MarketPlace, free parking and unlimited access to the 4D Theater, which has the Orlando exclusive showing of The Polar Express 4D & Laser Maze.  And this event is incredibly affordable – especially if you book through Groupon.

The Edison at Disney Springs: Enjoy a special ticket event to a New Year’s Eve Gala at the Edison at Disney Springs, known for its great nightlife entertainment and beautiful views of Lake Buena Vista.  Admission includes food and a wide array of wine, beer and spirit options from 7:30 PM until midnight. And you can enjoy a quick walk back to your hotel room after this event if you stay at Hilton Orlando Lake Buena Vista or Wyndham Garden Lake Buena Vista.
  18. Citrus Bowl Pep Rally: If you’re a fan of Penn State or Kentucky, head to Pointe Orlando, where you can enjoy the Citrus Bowl Pep Rally!  And don’t forget to buy your ticket to the Citrus Bowl the next day through StubHub to get the best price.
  19. Busch Gardens: Now, Tampa is a little bit away from Orlando, but a trip there is worth it on New Year’s Eve, because they have an amazing New Year’s Eve Celebration.  And if you stay at a hotel near SeaWorld, such as Hilton Garden Inn Orlando at SeaWorld, you can take a complimentary bus to and from Tampa and enjoy the festivities as part of a trip to Orlando.
  20. New Year’s Eve Party Cruise: Again, if you don’t mind traveling a bit from Orlando, there’s a great New Year’s Eve Party Cruise at Port Canaveral.  You’ll be able to see beautiful Port Canaveral shots, mingle in the lounge areas, get drinks from an open bar and Orlando’s hottest DJs will be playing hip-hop, soca, reggaeton, etc.  You can get a discounted ticket for this cruise through Goldstar which includes a buffet dinner.
