Since everything is bigger in Texas, the fun has to be bigger, right? Well, you will answer a big resounding yes to that question if you attend the appropriately titled Big TX FUN!
Big TX Fun starts today and will run through March 24th, 2024. It takes place at Retama Park in Selma, Texas near San Antonio.
A big part of this event is the crawfish! There’s a crawfish broil with a crawfish eating contest. A balloon artist will give free balloon crawfish to children at select times.
There’s also a family carnival. Talley Amusements is providing new and exciting rides this year. In addition to the carnival rides, you can also enjoy a pony ride or camel ride. And if you like animals, you can also enjoy a petting zoo here.
Every Friday through Sunday, you can enjoy appearances by very special characters that hold a wonderful place in a lot of young children’s hearts. This could include Spongebob Squarepants, Doc McStuffins, or Poppy the Troll.
There is also fireworks on select evenings.
