Captain Mike holds the American Sailing Institute’s highest sail rating with a Level 4. He holds an advanced Piloting Certificate an d 50 ton Masters License from the United States Coast Guard. Captain Mike and Miss Judy have advanced Piloting Certification from the United States Power Squadron. The Captain has many miles under the keel in many corners of the globe.
The Odyssey is a vintage Catalina 350. Built in 2002, it has a large comfortable bimini covered cockpit with a walk through transom for easy boarding. Its large cabin has an electric marine head. Comfortable stern rail seats line the large decks.
Your personalized sailing experience is for up to 6 passengers. You and your family/friends will have the undivided attention of Captain Mike and his first mate on this three hour cruise.
You’ll get a short safety briefing and a Personal Flotation Device (PFD) will be provided for everyone. The Odyssey comes with treats, ice, bottled water, Gatorade, coke and ginger ale. You’ll need to bring sunscreen, sunglasses, hats, a camera and BYOB.
Enjoy the tranquil, relaxing pace of sailing. Listen to the wind and the waves while sipping on your favorite drink. Smell the salt air and see shrimp boats and pelicans diving for fish as shorebirds dot the sky.
You can learn about the Odyssey and sailing from Captain Mike. If you’re interested, you can help with the sails and Captain Mike might even let you steer the boat. Or you can just sit back and relax as you glide through the water.
