Hops N’ Hot Sauce Festival In Houston
The 5th annual Hops n’ Hot Sauce Festival is coming to the SpindleTap in Houston, Texas, on January 9, 2021. Turn the heat up with hot sauce, spicy food, and craft beer. It is sponsored by Simply Texas Gourmet Foods.
Vendors will be at the Festival offering samples and selling BBQ sauces, hot sauces, seasonings, salsas, jellies, popcorn, and other specialty foods and items.

Additional Information
Guests can sample spicy Texas-inspired food and drink craft beer from local breweries. The best Houston food trucks will be there. Country singer and guitarist Gary Kyle will perform. Get photos snapped in the free Photo Booth.
There will be a kids play area, the L’il Gnomes, and face painting. Kids aged 12 and under will get in free of charge.
Someone will win $250 in the Hot Pepper Eating Contest. You must be 18 years old and have a valid ID. The first 20 applicants meeting the requirements will be the contestants so get there early if you want to win the money. Each contestant will get a bowl of fresh peppers and will have a specified time to eat as many peppers as possible. In addition to the cash prize, the winner will also get a cool trophy.
There will also be a Pizza de Muerte – a spicy pizza eating challenge.
A portion of the proceeds will go to the Addis Faith Foundation, a charity funding childhood cancer research.
Vendor booths will be spread out to ensure social distancing. Hand washing and hand sanitizers will be available throughout the Festival. Masks are encouraged when you’re not sampling.
