St. Augustine is a beautiful city with palm trees, lovely gardens, pristine beaches, historic buildings, quaint Bed & Breakfasts, and so much more.

St. Augustine attracts over two million visitors each year. If you’re visiting this gorgeous Florida city, try seeing it from a different perspective – from the water! We’re going to tell you about three great cruises and then we’re going to tell you how you can save money on each cruise.

Ghost Cruise

St. Augustine has over four centuries of history. That history includes pirates, war, battles, Native American massacres, the great fire of 1914, yellow fever, murders and more. It should come as no surprise that St. Augustine is one of the most haunted cities in the United States.

Come hear about the spirits of St. Augustine on a Ghostly Boat Ride with St. Aug by Boat. Captain Rob will be your guide and will point out the St. Augustine landmarks as you glide past them. He’ll also tell you chilling tales behind the haunted spots you’re seeing. Captain Rob is a great storyteller and he’s hilarious so the goosebumps will be cut by laughter.

You’ll see and hear about Fort Mantanzas and its haunted history. See the Castillo de San Marcos and hear about the spirits that have been there for two centuries.

You’ll also see the famous St. Augustine lighthouse. In 1873, during construction of the St. Augustine lighthouse, young girls were riding in a railroad cart. The cart toppled into the ocean pinning the girls down under it. By the time the worker was able to move the heavy cart, only the youngest girl was still alive. The girls that died were the 13 and 15 year old daughters of the Construction Superintendent named Hezekiah Pittee.

The Pittees had been living in the Lighthouse Keeps house. They went home to bury their daughters and never returned. Over the next 149 years, there have been so many sightings of two girls in the house, especially in the basement.

Giggling has been heard as well as footsteps when no one is there. There have been numerous sightings of girls who disappear into thin air. They are believed to be the Pittee girls. EMF meters register the electrical activity caused by “spirits” and these meters most often spike in the basement.
