They say everything is bigger in Texas. And that is definitely true for their Christmas events. Because Lone Star Lights in Huntsville, Texas is not some ordinary holiday event. No, is a 17-acre family-oriented Christmas park!
This event begins the day after Thanksgiving, on November 25, 2022. It runs through December 22, 2022.
There are so many fun things to do there. This includes amazing activities you wouldn’t even dream at a holiday event in Texas like zip lining over the frozen tundra or sledding on a snowy hill.
But I am getting ahead of myself. Let me tell you about the different sections and the dinner theater. And then I’ll tell you how you can save money on a visit to Lone Star Lights at Carolina Creek!
Welcome Section
When you first enter, you get to see the Lone Star Ornament. There’s also a Christmas Tree Farm here.
Winter Wonderland
This is where you get to feel like you’ve left Southeast Texas and instead entered a ski lodge! Winter Wonderland is home to Wonderland Harbor. There is real snow here and a sledding hill! If sledding down a hill gets your appetite going, then you get some food from the food trucks here. Oh, and did I mention there are live carolers in this section?
Arctic Adventure
This is a really unique part of Lone Star Lights, and what makes it more unique than a standard holiday festival. This is where you find the zip line and aerial course! There’s also a Glacier Express Escape Room
Lone Star Ranch
I love Christmas trees, and I suspect you do, too. So you’ll love the 45′ Heritage Christmas Tree you’ll find at Lone Star Ranch!
And, staying true to its name, there are trail rides available here! Also staying true to its name, other activities found here include Buckin’ Barrell, Cow Milkin’, and Calf Ropin’.
Reason for the Season
Let’s never forget the true meaning of Christmas. And Reason for the Season, at the name implies, helps you remember it. There’s a Nativity Scene, Vertical Cathedral, and Prayer Arbors.
Gingerbread Square
Gingerbread Square is where you find, as you would expect, gingerbread creations. But it’s also where you find Santa’s Cabin and a toymaker’s workshop!
O Little Town
O Little Town is a great section for the younger kids at Lone Star Lights. Here’s where you can find Playscape and the Petting Zoo!
Fractal Forest
Fractal Forest is where you find the famous Tunnel of Lights! Other attractions here include Butterfly Light Sculptures, Weeping Willow, and the Kaleidoscope Stage. You can also get Prismatic Coffee here.
Dinner Theatre
Enjoy an exclusive performance delivered by Houston’s premiere Christian-based theatre company, The A.D. Players. And since this is a dinner theatre, you can also enjoy a 3-course holiday dinner, courtesy of the Carolina Creek Culinary team.
