New Orleans’ Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral will be hosting the 49th annual Greek Festival on May 24, 25 and 26, 2024. New Orleans has enjoyed 49 years of Greek food, live music and family fun at this Memorial Day weekend tradition. More than 19,000 people are expected to attend this year’s festival.
As always, parishioners will offer guests an array of homemade traditional Greek culinary delights. This year, the lemon will be featured in foods, desserts and libations. Come celebrate a zest for life!
Greek Festival Hours
- Friday, May 24 – 5 pm to 11 pm
- Saturday, May 25 – 11 am to 10 pm
- Sunday, May 26 – 11 am to 8 pm
The Greek Festival will have activities for the whole family. Hellenic Dancers will perform in authentic costumes in the Hellenic Cultural Center. Cathedral Dean Father George Wilson will direct Cathedral Tours. Hear beautiful Byzantine music by the resident chanter.
Delicious homemade Greek food will be available for purchase, including

- Rack of lamb

- Souvlaki

- Keftedes (Greek meatballs)
- Pastitsio dinner with tiropita
- Dolmades (stuffed grape leaves)
- Greek pastries

There will be two main areas for your shopping pleasure. Indoors will be the Greek Grocery with imported food and homemade specialties. The Holy Trinity Archives will have historic photographic reproductions and gift items.
Outdoors you will find Agora with Hellenic imports and specialty items, T-shirts, vintage posters and clothes for children and adults.
Thymios & His Greek American Super Band will perform live music on the outdoor stage. Join in some traditional Greek dances. Or just sit back and enjoy the music.
The Athenian Playground will have activities for the young festival guests. There will be face painting and two inflatable obstacle courses.
The Greek Festival Run/Walk Race will be happening on Saturday, May 25 at 8:30 am.
