You can find the largest fall festival in Chicago, Illinois over at Goose Island in Downtown Chicago. And that event is Jack’s Pumpkin Pop-Up!
As the name would imply, this is just a seasonal event. It starts on September 21, 2023, and will run through November 5, 2023. And this is definitely an event you’re going to want to go to.
Because first of all, as the name also implies, this festival has pumpkins! There will be over 10,000 pumpkins at this festival.over at the pumpkin patch. These pumpkins come in all different shapes and sizes. You can pick these pumpkins out to take home, whether you want to use them for that special fall recipe or for a Jack-O-Lantern for Halloween. There are great photo opportunities there, too, that are perfect for the fall.
Speaking of fall, this festival has other great fall festivities. Like you’ll have fun walking through the corn maze. They also have hayrides. There are great fall-themed decorations throughout Jack’s Pumpkin Pop-Up. And there are seasonal craft opportunities, too, so you can make your own autumn decorations.
But wait. That’s not all. There are carnival games and a petting zoo. There’s also gem mining, fortune tellers, and axe throwing!
If all this makes you hungry or thirsty, don’t worry. There are food trucks there and seasonal food and drinks options available such as caramel apples and apple cider.
All ages are welcome to this fun fall festival, though it should be noted that you must be at least 18 years old to try axe throwing and you must be at least 21 years old to drink alcoholic beverages.
This event is open on the following days of the week and times:
- Monday through Thursday: 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM
- Friday: 4:00 PM to 11:00 PM
- Saturday: 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM
- Sunday: 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM
