Pipe Creek Pumpkin Patch
It’s autumn again, and that means it’s time for you know what. No, I’m not talking Halloween or the World Series. I’m talking about the Pipe Creek Pumpkin Patch!
The Pipe Creek Pumpkin Patch, as you would expect, is a pumpkin patch in Pipe Creek, Texas. It is located at the Christmas Tree Farm in Hill Country near Bandera. It’s just 30 minutes from Northwest San Antonio and 20 minutes from Boerne. And they have great fall activities for families.
These fall activities take place on weekends in October. It is open October 3rd and 4th, 10th and 11th, 17th and 18th, 24th and 25th, and 31st. The hours are 11:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
And I said, they have great fall activities. Here’s what you can enjoy here:
- Hayride
- Visiting farm animals
- Hop ball
- Scarecrow dressing
- A large sandbox
- Rubber duck races
- Photo opportunities
- Playing in a haystack
- Pumpkin painting
- Kiddie barrel train
Please note that in order to participate in pumpkin painting, you will need to buy a pumpkin. The kiddie barrel train also costs extra. Also, please note that the Pumpkin Patch activities are actually geared for kids ages 10 years old & younger.
If you’ve visited in the past, you may remember face painting. Unfortunately, face painting will not be included this year because they’re trying to limit that kind of face to face interactions because of COVID-19.
They also have a snack bar. You can get hot dogs, chips, Frito pies, lemonade, soft drinks, lemonade, bottled water, and marshmallows for toasting.
They also have a Farmers Market! You can get pumpkins, Indian corn, corn stalks, gourds, and hay bales there.
