I want to tell you about all the reasons why the Tampa Greek Festival is so great this year. And then I’ll tell you how you can save money at the Tampa Greek Festival with a great coupon!
Food
So the main reason I have always loved attending Greek Festivals is the food. And the Tampa Greek Festival does not disappoint in this department.
They have a lot of great Greek and Mediterranean dishes like:
- Keftedes (or Greek meatballs)
- Gyros
- Pastitsio (or Greek lasagna)
- Greek lemon chicken
- Slow simmered lamb shank
They also have a lot of great Greek pastries like:
- Baklava
- Kourambiethes (or Greek wedding cookies)
- Diples (pastries with honey, nuts & syrup)
There are also drinks available at Kafanion. You can get made-to-order Greek coffee! There’s also American coffee, frappes, and coffee cocktails.
You can also take the Greek Festival home with you, as they have a take-out menu.
Dancing
It wouldn’t be a Greek Festival without Greek dancing! And Tampa Greek Festival has some great dancing inside the Grand Hall and outside in the OPA! Party Tent.
Dance groups from St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church as well as throughout Tampa Bay entertain throughout the festival.
This includes:
- Y Hara Mas Dance Group
- Panigyri Dance Group
- Parea Dance Group
- Holy Trinity Clearwater Dance Group
- St. George/New Port Richey Dance Group
Kid Zone
Don’t think the Greek Festival hasn’t forgotten about its youngest guests! They have a kids’ zone in their Grecian Gardens. It is a covered retreat with big-screen televisions and outdoor tables.
You’ll want to head here even if you aren’t a kid because this is the only place they sell loukoumades, hot, delicious Greek donuts that are made fresh-to-order.
But kids will also want to go for all the fun activities here, like:
- Giant bounce houses
- Games
- Crafts
- Treats
