Have you been to the California State Fair yet this year? The 2022 State Fair will be running through July 31, 2022. It takes place at Cal Expo in Sacramento, CA.
There are so many things to left to do and so many great drinks and food to try. The State Fair celebrates the best California has to offer in agriculture, technology, and the diversity of California’s people and cultures. And the California State Fair gives you a chance to meet Poppy, the State Fair’s mascot!

Save Mart Wine Garden
California not only makes 81% of all wine in the United States but is the world’s 4th leading wine producer. Try some of the award-winning California wine at the Save Mart Wine Garden. You also get to meet representatives from a variety of California wineries and experience their wines as part of the Winery of the Day feature. You’ll get a better understanding of how grapes are grown and harvested and how to taste and pair wine.

Toyota Concert Series
There are a lot of great concerts that are part of the California State Fair. And all of them are included in the cost of a general admission ticket! This is great, especially since you can get a discounted general admission ticket (more about that later).

Livestock
Here is one of the competitions that take place during the fair. The top youth livestock producers throughout California will be at the fair. You get to see some of the highest quality Livestock.
CA Cannabis Exhibit
Check out the the California Cannabis Exhibit Presented by Kolas in Expo Center Building 1. Please note only those 21 years old and older can attend this exhibit.
The California State Fair Cannabis Awards showcase California’s cannabis industry by displaying California’s award-winning cultivators. Make your way through two hundred feet of cannabis education and infographics. You can also stop and listen to a series of expert speakers, panels, and documentary films on important themes in California’s cannabis landscape today, like equity and inclusion.
Out at the Fair
And finally, while most of the fair may be over, one of the best days is left on schedule. This Saturday, July 30, 2022, is Out at the Fair Day! Support the LGBTQIA+ community and have a lot of fun!
