I love to see Christmas lights and holiday decorations. If you do, too, you should go to Las Vegas. They have amazing decorations that you won’t find anywhere else in this country. Maybe in the world.

The Fountains of Bellagio are a spectacular mixture of water, light and music at the Bellagio on the Las Vegas Strip. Over one thousand fountains dance in front of the hotel. The fountains span more than 1,000 feet with water soaring up to 460 feet in the air. It is the most ambitious water show ever conceived in terms of scale and complex choreography.

Bellagio Christmas Celebration

The Fountains of Bellagio are now holding a Christmas Celebration. The dancing waters are set to Christmas music, like “O Holy Night,” “Santa Baby” and “It’s Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas.”

The Bellagio Resort & Casino also has a Christmas & Holiday Season Display in their Conservatory & Botanical Gardens, next to the hotel lobby. This year the display is titled “Gingerbread Dreams, a Holiday Confection.”

A beautifully decorated Christmas tree from California’s Mount Shasta is at the center of the display. There’s a walk through 25 foot high gingerbread house. Gingerbread men are everywhere along with gumdrops and peppermints. The scent of gingerbread and cinnamon hovers over the display.

Although so much of the Holiday Confection looks good enough to eat, nothing is digestible. Signs have been put up reminding guests not to eat the design elements.

Playful polar bears hang out with life sized elves. A Coca-Cola toy train makes trips around the trees.

The Bellagio Conservatory Holiday Display has

  • 140,000 poinsettias throughout the display
  • 110,000 energy efficient light bulbs on all the trees
  • 15,000 gingerbread men
  • 13,250 white carnations
  • 10,000 energy efficient lights on the 42’ tall tree
  • 8,700 ornaments on the holiday tree
  • 2,000 peppermints used throughout the display
