The Angry Crab Shack Southwest Cajun Fest is returning to Dr. A.J. Chandler Park in downtown Chandler on February 3, 2024. See the heart and soul of New Orleans blended with Arizona flavor for a full day packed with food, cultural festivities, entertainment and fun!
Experience the excitement of Bourbon Street with thousands of Mardi Gras beads tossed from second story balconies. Listen to the sounds of a brass band welcoming you to the party.
A variety of food vendors will be serving up Cajun specialities. Enjoy alligator bites, gumbo, po boys, frog legs, jambalaya and the Angry Crab Shack seafood boil! There will be the ever popular eating contests.
“The Swamp” bar will be selling hurricanes, daiquiris and handcrafted cocktails created by some of Arizona’s top mixologists. Craft beer, wine and soft drinks will also be available for purchase.
New Orleans has long been known for great music and you can find that at the Fest. C.J. Chenier & the Red Hot Louisiana Band will perform on the Main Stage. He is known as the Crown Prince of Zydeco as his father, the legendary Clifton Chenier, invented it.
The NOLAZ Band will play groove and soul music from New Orleans. The Funkhaus Brass Band, a New Orleans Second Line Street jazz band will also perform. You’ll hear original dance music, traditional Dixieland, gospel, swing, funky street beats and pop songs with a brass band sound.

There will be strolling entertainment through the Fest. This includes

Children 12 and under are admitted free with a paying adult. There will be plenty of activities for kids in the Kids Zone. There will be a Kids Mardi Gras Mask Decorating Station. Attendees are encouraged to wear masks and costumes.
