April 30, 2022, is International Jazz Day. Celebrate it at the 11th annual Scottsdale Jazz Festival from 3 pm to 10 pm at the Scottsdale Civic Center, NE lawn.
The Scottsdale Jazz Festival is one of the almost two hundred global Jazz Day celebrations designated by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and Herbie Hancock. It is a celebration of jazz and how jazz can unite people around the world.
This Festival just keeps growing and the lineup is bigger than ever this year. Jesse McGuire is a trumpeter from Phoenix and is well known for his powerful rendition of the “Star Spangled Banner.” He will be performing the National Anthem. McGuire will also open for Nayo Jones.
The 2022 Scottsdale Jazz Festival’s lineup is as follows:
- 3 pm to 3:30 pm – Molina 32nd Street All Star Youth Jazz Band
- 3:45 pm to 4:30 pm – Jaleo Latin Music
- 4:45 pm to 5:45 pm – Cold Shott & The Hurricane Horns
- 6 pm to 7 pm – The Nayo Jones Experience
- 7:15 pm to 8:45 pm – Rick Braun & Richard Elliot
- 9 pm to 10 pm – Carlos Rivas & se Orquestra Mexsal
The Scottsdale Jazz Festival will feature one main stage. The festivities will be entirely outdoors.
If your ticket is for lawn seating, you can bring a low backed lawn chair. You can also rent a chair at the Festival. No blankets are allowed in the lawn section due to limited space.
An array of food vendors, arts and crafts vendors and merchandise vendors will be available throughout the Festival to provide a great shopping experience.
