When I hear Reggae I think of Marley. Reggae legend Bob Marley’s music endures and continues to attract new fans.
The Marley Brothers – Ziggy, Stephen, Julian, Ky-Mani and Damian – have come together for The Marley Brothers: The Legacy Tour. This is their first tour together in two decades.
Over the last thirty years, the Marley Brothers have established themselves as successful solo artists. With Julian winning the 2024 Best Reggae album, that brought the brothers’ total Grammy Award wins at 22.
Ziggy Marley
Ziggy Marley has won 8 Grammy Awards and 1 Emmy. He is the oldest son of Bob and Rita Marley. Ziggy has infused the Reggae genre with Funk, Blues, Rock and other elements. His charity URGE benefits the well being of children in Jamaica, Africa and North America. He’s an activist exploring issues like environmental awareness to social injustice.
Stephen Marley
Stephen Marley is the son of Bob and Rita Marley. He started singing professionally at the age of 6 with siblings Ziggy, Cedelia and Sharon in the Melody Makers. He’s won 8 Grammy Awards. Stephen is also an acclaimed producer and has worked closely with his brother Damian. He champions charitable endeavors and is a co-founder of Ghetto Youths Foundation.
Julian Marley
Julian Marley is the son of Bob Marley and Lucy Pounder. He’s a self taught musician. His debut album was released when he was 21 and it was followed by international touring. His second album fused Reggae with Jazz. He is deeply rooted in Rastafarianism, like his father, with spiritual and global messages in his music
Ky-Mani Marley
Ky-Mani Marley is the son of Bob Marley and Anita Belnavis. His debut album in 1996 “Like Father Like Son” blended Reggae with Hip Hop. He has a diverse discography. He’s also an actor and was in the movies “Slottas” and “One Love.”
Damian Marley
Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley is a Jamaican singer, songwriter and producer. He’s Bob Marley’s youngest son. His musical style blends Reggae with elements of Hip Hop, Dancehall, R&B and Rock, crafting his own fresh and modern sound. He is a multi Grammy Award winner. His “Make It Bun Dem” which went platinum with over 1 million copies sold in the U.S. alone.
You’ll hear each of their individual hits as well as the classic Bob Marley songs. And I’ll bet you’ll leave the concert with a smile on your face.
