Italians have had a huge presence in San Francisco ever since the California Gold Rush era of the mid-19th century.  The North Beach neighborhood between Fisherman’s Wharf and Chinatown is even also known as Little Italy.  Italians have contributed a lot to the culture, food scene, and economy of San Francisco, and should be celebrated by all San Franciscoans.

So it is only fitting that San Francisco’s baseball team, the SF Giants, should have a night celebrating Italian culture.  And they do…the San Francisco Giants Italian Heritage Night!

This year, this night takes place at Oracle Park on Tuesday, July 25, 2023.  This is when the Giants will be playing the Oakland Athletics at 6:45 PM.  This is actually the first game of the Bay Bridge Series, so it should be a good game even without the theme night.

But the theme night sure makes the night even better.  There will be Italian Heritage pregame entertainment in Willie Mays Plaza and on the field.  So make sure you get there early.
