The Kentucky Derby is getting close and so is TheBigWonderful 10th annual Derby Party, Beer Fest, Bluegrass & Bazaar. And it’s all going to be happening on Saturday, May 4, 2024, from 12 pm to 6 pm.
TheBigWonderful will be returning to Belleview Station and its surrounding streets for a day full of fun activities. Immerse yourself in a day of celebration and excitement
So exactly what will be going on? Try fabulous shopping at the Bazaar! Who doesn’t like that? And then there’s the unlimited sampling from 15 breweries, cideries and distilleries. Doesn’t that sound like fun?
Street food vendors and food trucks will be there with delicious main dishes, sides, snacks and desserts for purchase. And while you’re shopping, sipping and eating, you can listen to bluegrass music. Now doesn’t that sound great?
Music Schedule
- 12 pm to 1:30 pm: Clint Koury & Gil Clark (formerly of Avenhart)
- 2:15 pm to 3:45 pm: That Damn Sasquatch
- 4:30 pm to 6 pm: High Lonesome
The live bluegrass music on the Belleview Beer Garden patio will be from 12 pm to 6 pm. It is free of charge.
Additional Party Information
The Craft Vendor Village will have more than 70 Colorado arts and crafts vendors and small business vendors with unique items for purchase. It will be open from 12 pm to 6 pm and there is no admission fee.
The fastest two minutes in sports has to be the Kentucky Derby. It is always held on the first Saturday in May at Churchill Downs in Louisville, Kentucky.
The Kentucky Derby is the first leg of the famous Triple Crown and will be followed by the Preakness Stakes and the Belmont Stakes. Begun in 1875, only 13 horses have won the Triple Crown.
This year Kentucky native Wynonna Judd will perform the National Anthem. Martha Stewart will give the “Riders Up” command.
If you can’t make it to Louisville this year, the next best place to see the Kentucky Derby has to be TheBigWonderful at Belleview Station!
