It’s almost time for the 2026 Summertime Swing Festival – and I want to help you save money on a visit!
This event is when the Saint Hill Manor in East Grinstead is transformed into a vintage summer carnival. This is the 22nd year of this popular event, and it will take place this year on 1st August. I want to tell you about some of what you can expect at this event. This include how you can save money on a ticket!
This event is hosted by the top jive and swing band in the United Kingdom, the Jive Aces. You may know them from appearing on Britain’s Got Talent, where they were semifinalists.
This is very much a vintage event. There is a DJ spinning classic hits, live music, and a dance floor, where you can enjoy retro dancing like swing and jive. In addition to the Jive Aces, you can enjoy special guest artists from the UK, USA, and France. This includes French rock guitarist Lucky Will, American jazz and blues singer Nicole Rochelle, and Parisian R&B artist Richard Nola.
Many performers will be in vintage costumes and attire – and you can dress for the occasion, too! You can get up and dance or just enjoy the music (you can bring folding chairs). This is a very family-friendly event.
But the event is more than just the music and dancing. There are also vintage stalls, which are a great place to go if you like to shop for retro treasures and unique gems. You can also admire a great display of classic cars. Food and drink stalls will also be there.
All the proceeds from event tickets go to charity, including The Not Forgotten Association, which works to combat isolation and loneliness in the Armed Forces community.
