If you are planning an upcoming trip to Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida, then you may be considering a stay at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort. Saratoga Springs is an onsite Disney World deluxe villa hotel that my family has stayed at before and enjoyed.

We want to give you our advice from our Disney World and Saratoga Springs trips so you can have a wonderful stay. So here are 10 tips for staying at Saratoga Springs.
1Book through David’s Vacation Club Rentals
You can get some incredibly great rates on this hotel if you book through David’s Vacation Club Rentals. We’re talking way cheaper than if you booked through Disney, and the prices through vacation club rentals can get so low that I’ve actually spent less staying at Saratoga Springs than I did at Disney value hotels! We go over how to book through David’s here.
2Opt for a Preferred View
This hotel is very spread out, so I would opt for a preferred view, especially if you are flying into Orlando and you don’t have a car. Otherwise, it is quite the walk if you want to access the food court.
If you do end up with a room that isn’t a preferred view, then take advantage of the bus system when you want to say get to the food court.
3Bring Food from Home
Take advantage of the kitchen area of this hotel by bringing food from home if you drive. You’ve got a refrigerator, microwave, silverware, plates, a table in your room and there are even picnic tables around the resort if you like eating outdoors. Even if you fly into Orlando, you can get food delivered from Amazon’s Prime Pantry Now.
4Earn Swagbucks for Dining
Saratoga Springs does have some good restaurants, so consider earning Swagbucks to save money on dining here. How this works is you can earn something Swagbucks by doing things you may already do, such as shopping online or playing games on your phones. Then you can redeem your Swagbucks for Disney gift cards. And then you can use those gift cards to pay for your dining! We talk more about how to earn money from Swagbucks here.
5Walk to Disney Springs & take the boat
Saratoga Springs is the only Disney World hotel that is within walking distance of Disney Springs, which is a great shopping & dining destination at Walt Disney World Resort. Both walking and taking the boat to Disney Springs from Saratoga Springs is fun, so I would make sure I did both. The walk has amazing views and the boat not only has great views, but is almost like a ride in and of itself!
6Eat at T-Rex at Disney Springs
When you do get to Disney Springs, make sure you eat at T-Rex. It is one of the most fun restaurants in all of Walt Disney World Resort. It is almost like an attraction and a restaurant combined. You can read more about it in our T-Rex review.
7Take advantage of the onsite food court
Not all Disney deluxe hotels have an onsite food court, but Saratoga Springs does. Their food court, The Artist’s Palette, is a great place to go for lunch, dinner, and especially breakfast before you go to the parks.
Oh, and make sure you try their desserts. Your tastebuds will thank me later.

8Get a Refillable Mug
One great thing about the food court is you can purchase a Disney refillable mug.
It is an expensive purchase upfront. But then you can keep refilling it for the entirety of your vacation – for free! It will make all your meals there cheaper. Plus, it makes for a great souvenir from your trip!
9Relax at the pool
Saratoga Springs is one of the most relaxing hotels at Walt Disney World Resort. Take advantage of the peacefulness by relaxing out at one of the resort’s pools.
10Be Prepared for the Parks
When you stay at Saratoga Springs, you’re probably going to visit one or all of the Disney parks (Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom, Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach). Here are 10 things you can buy ahead of time that will save money. Also, make sure you get the cheapest prices for theme park tickets; we have tips for getting discounted tickets here.
