Casa Loma in Toronto is transformed into an immersive haunted attraction called Legends of Horrors each October. Learn how to save 24% on a ticket with a coupon.

Legends of Horror is presented as “promenade theatre”.  This means you can walk through Legends of Horror at your own pace.  It is a two-km trail that makes its way into the lower gardens of Casa Loma.  It winds its way through the castle’s tunnels and dark spaces, some of which have never been open before to the public.  There is staff available if you need to help you along the way.  The whole experience takes about an hour.

So what makes this experience so terrifying?  How about some of the scariest characters from horror movies and legends?  This includes Dracula, Creature from the Black Lagoon, and the Phantom of the Opera.  Live actors and 3D projection on the exterior of the castle brings these characters and their storyline to life.  They designed this attraction to present “a macabre chase for love and immortality”.

If you want to break from the spooky during your walkthrough; don’t worry; at the halfway point, you can retreat from the darkness and walk into the Captain Morgan Bar.  There, you can grab a drink and enjoy music from a live DJ before braving the end of the experience.  There are washrooms halfway through the experience, too.

This is a scary attraction, so parental discretion is advised.  Kids who are 16 years old and under must be accompanied by an adult.  There are family hours earlier in the evening, from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM.  Since it is still light out, it’s less scary for kids. There are no live actors during family hours, too, which helps it be less scary for children.
