The famous Dutch painter Vincent van Gogh has long been regarded as one of the most influential Western artists.  And now you can experience his artwork in an innovative, immersive and modern way.  And that is because of Beyond Van Gogh!

Beyond Van Gogh is an exhibit that is currently at Samanea New York Mall in Westbury, New York.  This space occupies over 30,000 square feet, so you’ll get plenty of room to explore his artwork.

And you’ll get to see so many of Van Gogh’s classic works.  In fact, over 300 of Van Gogh’s artworks will be brought to life in this exhibit.  This includes a lot of his famous pieces of art such as “The Starry Night”, “Cafe Terrace at Night,” and “Sunflowers”.

And you’ll be seeing this artwork in a totally new way.  They’ll be comprised of over four trillion content pixels, so this will be a higher resolution than what you normally see when you see his artwork.  It also gives you the opportunity to feel like you are really there.

And the effects are really neat.  You’ll see them across multiple surfaces and appear and disappear.  You may have been to art exhibits before, but not like this.

It’s also set to a symphonic score.  So Van Gogh’s own words heighten the experience.

When to Visit

So if you live in the New York City area or are visiting the New York City area, then Beyond Van Gogh Long Island is a must-visit.  It will be in Long Island until September 30, 2023.  Beyond Van Gogh will be open on the following days of weeks and times:

  • Sunday: 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM (last entry at 5:00 PM)
  • Thursday: 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM (last entry at 6:00 PM)
  • Friday & Saturday: 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM (last entry is at 8:00 PM)

It is closed on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
