Hunter Valley Gardens Christmas Lights
Hunter Valley Gardens in Pokolbin, New South Wales, Australia is a truly magical place to visit during the holiday season. Now, Hunter Valley Gardens is great to visit any time of the year. It is, after all, the largest display garden in the Southern Hemisphere. But during the Christmas season, the place is transformed with over 3 million holiday lights!
It is all part of their Christmas Lights Spectacular event. It runs from 5 November 2020, through 26 January 2021.
The Christmas lights on display at Hunter Valley Gardens are simply breathtaking. There are lots of Christmas light displays that give Hunter Valley Gardens that Christmas magic. Here are some of the highlights.
Lovers Corner
Lovers Corner is a Christmas light display shaped like a heart. Couples can get under the tunnel of hearts for an absolutely perfect romantic picture.
“Snowy” the Snowman
“Snowy” the Snowman is a very impressive 8 feet tall. And you can actually walk through its belly!
Santa’s Castle
Santa’s Castle is 15 metres wide and 5 metres high. You can walk through the tunnel to get into the castle. It’s an amazing experience!

Photos with Santa
There are also photo opportunities with Santa Claus himself! They are available every evening until Christmas Eve.
Rides
There are also rides available at this holiday event. There is a traditional Venetian Carousel that was designed specifically for Hunter Valley Gardens. You can see the Hunter Valley Gardens from 25 metres high by riding the Ferris Wheel. And there is a new teacup ride where you can spin around in beautiful teacups.
