What is ICE! at Gaylord Opryland

ICE! is an annual holiday event at Gaylord Opryland. And honestly, it is my favorite event they have all year at Gaylord Opryland.

How it works is that ice sculptors spend all year hand-carving sculptures out of two million pounds of ice. Every year is a different theme. This year, the theme is the beloved Christmas special Frosty the Snowman! The sculptures create scenes and characters from the popular story. Walking through the exhibit with your family is a really magical holiday experience.

Where is ICE! at Opryland

ICE! takes place at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center. This a luxurious resort with a lot of great features, like 18 onsite restaurants, a waterpark, 4 pools, an onsite spa, an adjacent golf course, and more. You can find which website offers the best deal for the hotel here.

Does ICE! at Gaylord Opryland Get Cold?

Yes! It is 9 degrees inside the exhibit due to the nature of the ice sculptures. Parkas are provided, and guests are encouraged to bring hats and gloves.

Is ICE! Gaylord Worth It

Given the magical experience and the beautiful ice sculptures, I would say so. Especially since a ticket to the event really isn’t that expensive. Especially if you take advantage of the current discounted ticket.
