My family loves Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party! In fact, we love it so much we’ve made it an annual tradition to visit Orlando, Florida to attend this great holiday event!
So when we visited this year, we wanted to share it with you. So we put together this video as a virtual tour to give you an idea of the kind of things you can do at this party:
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party 2019
After we came home, my family all agreed that this was our favorite Christmas party. There were so many great things to enjoy. We captured some of our favorites in the video:
Free Holiday Treats
First of all, you have to love any party that gives out free treats! You can see some of the delicious food you can get at the party. You can see how there are different stations throughout the park that you can pick up your free treats. We liked the ginger molasses cookie we picked up at the Lunching Pad at Tomorrowland and the soft pretzel we picked up at Tortuga Tavern at Adventureland.
Holiday Foods & Drinks
There are also delicious holiday-themed foods and drinks for sale during the Christmas party. We show you some of the drinks you can buy at Tomorrowland and the Red Velvet Mickey Santa Waffle Sundae you can buy at Sleepy Hollow in Liberty Square. This was a big hit with my family. We ate it early in the evening before it got really busy.
Character Meet & Greets
One of the great things about Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is all the popular Disney characters you can meet. Some of them are rare characters you don’t get the opportunity to meet every day at Disney World. We show the meet & greet with Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde from Zootopia and Tweedle and Tweedle Dum from Alice in the Wonderland. If you love getting your picture taken or autographs from Disney characters, this party is a great opportunity to get a lot of them. For a full list of characters you can meet, see here.
A Frozen Holiday Wish
Cinderella’s Castle is beautifully decorated at night with icicle decorations. How does it get that way? See A Frozen Holiday Wish to see how Elsa decorates the castle!
Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration
I really love shows on the stage of Cinderella’s Castle, like Mickey’s Royal Friendship Faire. This show did not disappoint me! Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration featured great singing and dancing to great Christmas music. And, most importantly, a lot of great Disney characters! You can see Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Snow White, Dopey, Pinnochio, Jessie, Woody, Alice, Daisy Duck, Donald Duck, Panchito, Jose, Pluto, and more. You can see a few of the numbers from earlier in the night and the grand finale from later in the night. It started raining the day I was there, so when I went to see it a second time they only performed the finale. But that’s the part so I was happy!
Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks Show
So one of the exciting new additions to the holiday party this year was the new fireworks show! Minnie’s Wonderful Christmas Fireworks just started in 2019. And the fireworks are great. But the best part to me were the amazing projections on the Castle! I enjoyed those more than the fireworks themselves. They fit so well to the Christmas music used. Club Tinsel
Do you love dance parties? Then you will love this holiday themed dance party, Club Tinsel, that takes place at Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe in Tomorrowland! Here you can dance the night away with some great reindeer!
A Totally Tomorrowland Christmas
Another great holiday show at this event takes place in Tomorrowland. And it is appropriately called A Totally Tomorrowland Christmas! This is the party with the best dancing. And there are great Disney characters here too, like Buzz Lightyear and Mike Wazowski from Monsters Inc. Oh, and did I mention you can see Santa Stitch here? Because I think I should mention that!
Mickey’s Once Upon A Christmastime Parade
I love the entire Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. But my favorite part is absolutely the parade. This alone makes the party worth the price of admission. I love every party of this parade.
I love the great Christmas music. And how you get to see so many Christmas favorites, like gingerbead men, elves, Santa and his reindeer. The toy soldiers section is one of the best parts. The Toy Story and Frozen floats are great, too. And the Seven Dwarfs are so much fun. There’s also great parts with the Disney princesses and princes. You see Cinderella & Prince Charming in their carriage and Snow White & her prince share a dance. And then there’s a big float with a lot of Disney couples: Rapunzel & Flynn Rider, Naveen & Tiana, Ariel & Eric, Aurora & Phillip, Belle & the Beast. That’s actually my favorite float. Rides
A great part of Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is that you can do a lot of the fun rides available at Magic Kingdom but without a lot of the long lines. Additionally, some of the rides have a holiday theme. You can see how Mad Tea Party has been themed to the holiday season.
Holiday Decorations
And finally, you get to see the great holiday decorations up throughout the park. I really love the projections up throughout Magic Kingdom. It really adds to the festive atmosphere and makes you feel like this is a really special event.
