Breakfast is one of my favorite meals of the day. I love a lot of the foods you can eat at breakfast. I’ve enjoyed a lot of restaurants that serve breakfasts at Disney World. Recently, I’ve reviewed the Cape May breakfast, Ohana breakfast, and the Ale & Compass breakfast, among others. But today, I would like to review the breakfast at Trattoria al Forno.
Now, Trattoria al Forno is a restaurant you may not recognize. It is not in the Disney parks. It is actually one of the restaurants at the Disney Boardwalk. The Boardwalk, in case you are not familiar, is a group of shops and restaurants right outside the World Showcase at Epcot. Unlike Epcot, you do not need a ticket to visit the Boardwalk.

Now the Bon Voyage Adventure Breakfast at Trattoria Al Forno is something my family had been considering doing for awhile. I really like the characters at that breakfast, which are Rapunzel, Flynn Rider, Ariel, and Eric. I like how it is a breakfast with unique characters.
Unfortunately, they do not currently have characters at the breakfast. That is out of safety precautions due to COVID-19. But I still wanted to try the breakfast. Not just because I was staying at the Boardwalk (though that did enter my mind). But also because the menu looked good. And without characters, the price for breakfast is lower.
But was it worth it? Well, I will let you know in this review!
Trattoria al Forno Breakfast Review
Trattoria al Forno, as you might have guessed from the review, is an Italian restaurant. And my favorite thing about the breakfast at Trattoria al Forno was how the breakfast had an Italian food twist. Now, as I said before, I love all breakfast foods. But it’s neat when it’s a breakfast entree with a bit of twist. It just makes your meal more special. You will see what I mean when I start telling you what we had and why we liked it.
I’ll start with the dish I had. I had the Tiramisu-style French Toast (see how they made this breakfast dish Italian?) with bacon.
You can also get it with sausage.
You can also get it with ham, but no one at my table did.
The French toast was absolutely delicious! The French toast had Cinnamon Brioche, Mascarpone Cream, and Cocoa Powder. It was such a wonderful blend of tastes. My sister, who is not even a huge fan of French toast, even loved it. I had never had French toast quite like it, but I would very much like to have it again!
My mother got a Caprese Omelet.
This is another Italian take on a popular dessert dish here in America. The omelet has Mozzarella, Ripe Tomatoes, and Fresh Basil. The meal also comes with breakfast potatoes. It also comes with your choice of sausage, bacon, or ham.
She absolutely loved the omelet! The potatoes were great, too. A few were a little hard, but it overall wasn’t a problem because the proportion sizes of the breakfast here are so generous. Bacon was great, too.
Overall, my family absolutely loved our breakfast here. It’s honestly some of the best breakfast foods you will find at the Walt Disney World. If you love breakfast and you love Italian food, you definitely want to come here. Even without the characters, it is a great choice. And it sure doesn’t hurt that it is a lot less expensive without the characters, either.
Trattoria al Forno Atmosphere
In addition to loving the food, I really loved the atmosphere of Trattoria al Forno. This is another reason I recommend coming here for breakfast.
It starts right away when you enter the restaurant. It has a classy but inviting lobby. The pictures up in the lobby are a really nice touch.
Trattoria al Forno is not a super large restaurant. The restaurant has an upscale and classy look and feel.
One neat feature of the restaurant is you can watch the cast members cook the food while you eat.
So the entire mood of the restaurant in addition to the delicious food is why my family had a such a great morning here.
How to Get to Trattoria al Forno
Trattoria al Forno is located at the Boardwalk. There are different ways you can get there depending on where you are staying.
If you are staying at one of the Epcot area hotels, you can walk there or take a boat there. These hotels are:
Another way to get there is via the Disney Skyliner. You take the Disney Skyliner from your hotel if you are staying at a hotel with Disney Skyliner access. These hotels include:
But if you’re not staying at one of these hotels, there are still a few ways to get there. If you go to Epcot first, you can just exit via the World Showcase exit and get there. If you go to Hollywood Studios first, you can take a boat to the Boardwalk Resort.
And if you visit Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Blizzard Beach, or Typhoon Lagoon first, you can take a bus to the Boardwalk Resort.
