One of the most exciting times of the year at EPCOT is the International Food & Wine Festival. There are always so many new foods and drinks that foodies & wine lovers alike can enjoy – and learn a lot about some really great cuisine of different countries! It takes place this year from August 29, 2019 through November 23, 2019, and I highly recommend it!
The last two years I have had a lot of fun at the festival because it’s great, but also because I stayed at one of the official Disney EPCOT hotels. These are Disney’s Beach Club, Yacht Club, and Boardwalk Inn & Villas. These hotels are within walking distance of the EPCOT International Gateway. I cannot stress enough to you how great that entrance to EPCOT is. It’s located in between France & the United Kingdom and it gets you right into the World Showcase, which, of course, is exactly where the International Food & Wine Festival takes place! You get to bypass having to take a bus to EPCOT and then walk through the entire park to get to the festival – you’re just right there! And then at the end of the night, you can easily & quickly get back to your room.
Now, you might be thinking, this sounds great, but it’s got to be too expensive, right? Well, the truth is, it actually wasn’t! At least not for me when I booked a DVC rental (for more information about DVC rentals, please click here). You can book a DVC rental at both the Beach Club and Boardwalk. My recommendation is to do this through David’s Vacation Club Rentals. I have always had a great experience with David’s. By booking a Disney vacation club rental rather than booking a hotel room through Disney, you can pay a fraction of a price for your stay; for example, I stayed at a great room at the Beach Club for around $250/night, which you can sometimes pay for Disney’s least expensive hotel rooms! But the best way to get these good rates is to book in advance, so hurry and get a room at the Beach Club or Boardwalk ASAP so you can have the best – and least expensive – Food & Wine Festival Experience!
