If I had one complaint about Disney World…well, it would probably be the rising price of tickets (luckily, there are ways to save money on tickets; I talk about this here). But if I had another complaint, it would be the lack of good sit-down restaurants.
But this is not uniformly true throughout the Walt Disney World Resort. I love the restaurants at the World Showcase in Epcot. And I love the dining at Disney Springs.
Disney Springs, in case you haven’t been, is not a theme park at the Walt Disney World. It is instead an entertainment district with lots of dining and shopping opportunities. I love a lot of the restaurants here. I have previously talked about T-Rex Cafe and Earl of Sandwich. But today I want to talk about Raglan Road.
Raglan Road Description
Raglan Road is an Irish pub and restaurant. This means you can go to get some great drinks, a great sit-down meal, or both. If you visit the restaurant at night you can see award-winning Irish dancing and hear Irish music.
Raglan Road Atmosphere
One of the best parts about Raglan Road is the atmosphere and decor.
It truly feels like an authentic Irish experience. And it should – they actually shipped lock, stock, and beer barrel from Ireland to Orlando.
There is a wonderful attention to detail throughout the restaurant. We loved all the pictures and articles up.
When we were there the last time, it was still decorated for Christmas, and the decorations were really beautiful.
When I visited at lunch, there was great Irish music playing.
I also really love the quotes they display on the stage at the restaurant. Take some time out to read a few. Some of them are really funny.
When I visited at night, there was great live entertainment! There was a live band with live Irish music.
And there were even live Irish dancers!
It was such a fun atmosphere. While lunch is more laid-back, the night is just a really neat more exciting experience. They rotate the band and the dancers, too, between inside the restaurant and the outdoor seating so either way you’ll get to enjoy the show.
The servers have been really nice and friendly every time I have visited, too. This is I think really adds to the overall positive atmosphere of the restaurant.
Raglan Road Food
But aside from the atmosphere, a big reason I keep coming back here is that I love the food.
It honestly starts when they bring out the food. They bring out Soda Bread you can dip in Olive Oil.
The Soda Bread was really good, and tasted great when dipped in the olive oil. The bread absorbed the bread really well.
One menu item we really liked was Shepherd’s To Die For Pie. It consists of braised and pulled beef and lamb along with root vegetables in a rich red wine jus and Irish peat
smoked mashed potato.
The expression that comes to mind with this dish is out of this world. The tastes all blended so well together, like the meat and potatoes. The onions and carrots were chopped up really fine which was great because it varied up each bite so the tastes would blend together better. And the red wine sauce was so delicious.
Another menu item I really love is the Fish and Chips. I think it is some of the best fish and chips I have ever had at the Walt Disney World Resort. In fact, I might even put it above the Rose & Crown Dining Room, which are the fish and chips I hold as the gold standard at Walt Disney World.
Drinks
Since pub is in the title, it should not come as a surprise that Ragland Road has a wonderful selection of drinks. They consist of imports, domestic beer, Raglan Road signature brews, Irish, Scotch & American whiskeys, wine, and special libations.

Gift Shop
Make sure you don’t leave without checking out the gift shop! I really love the gift shop here. I have bought a lot of things here. The prices are a lot more reasonable than other gift shops at Disney. And the gift shop is a bit more adult than you’d find at other places in Disney. It is especially great for me, not just because of my Irish heritage, but green is my favorite color!
Conclusion
While we did not universally like all of the food, we loved a lot of the food at Raglan Road. It is definitely one of the better restaurants at the Walt Disney World Resort. And on top of that, we absolutely loved the atmosphere and Irish touches. So if you are looking for a great sit-down restaurant to visit during a Walt Disney World trip, we definitely recommend going to Disney Springs and eating at Raglan Road Irish Pub & Restaurant!
