Anyone else already excited for Halloween Horror Nights this year at Universal Studios Florida theme park in Orlando? Well, get ready to get more excited, because today Universal Studios announced another haunted house we can look forward to!
A couple weeks ago, I talked about the new haunted house based on the popular A Quiet Place horror franchise. And the newly announced haunted house is also based on a popular movie franchise. This one is Ghostbusters!
This won’t be the first Ghostbusters-themed haunted house at Universal Orlando’s Halloween Horror Nights. But this is the first haunted house based on the most recent Ghostbusters movie, Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire.
Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire features cast members from the OG Ghostbusters movie as Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Annie Potts, Ernie Hudson, and William Atherton all appear in the movie. It also features popular cast members from more recent Ghostbusters movies like Paul Rudd, Finn Wolfhard, and Mckenna Grace and new cast members like Kumail Nanjiani and Patton Oswalt. So fans of the older and newer Ghostbusters movies could both enjoy the latest installment. It even had the nice nostalgic kick of moving the location back to the firehouse where the original Ghostbusters first set up shot in New York City.
What Can We Expect from the Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire Haunted House?
Now that you know about the movie, you may be wondering what to expect from the haunted house based on the movie.
The premise is based on a new specter that has escaped from an ancient artifact. Now it’s up to you, along with the Ghostbusters of course, to save the world from a second Ice Age.
