Pumpkins After Dark is a nighttime Halloween event coming to Country Heritage Park in Milton, Ontario.  Learn how to save money on a ticket with a coupon.  Pumpkins After Dark will be in Milton from September 26, 2026 through October 31, 2026.

This is an event you’re going to want to attend, too, as it is an award-winning Halloween event.  For example, in recent years, Pumpkins After Dark has won a Hamilton Halton Brant Regional Tourism Association Innovative Tourism Award and a Festival and Events Ontario Achievement Award.

So, what exactly is Pumpkins After Dark, you may be wondering?  Well, at the heart of the event is a unique walk-through experience with over 10,000 hand-carved pumpkins.  Seeing all the hand-carved pumpkins lit up against the night sky can be very breathtaking.  The first time I saw an experience like this, I was blown away.

And they go beyond just having jack-o-lanterns.  There are pumpkin sculptures and displays.  Here’s something else I think is really neat about the event: the displays are organized by continent.  You’ll get to see sights like a larger-than-life Eiffel Tower, the Colosseum, a moving windmill and Holland flower field, dancing leprechauns, and more.

And here’s another neat part: you’ll get a passport and you’ll collect stamps or a letter in each continent.  Then, you’ll be able to spell a word!

If you get inspired by this and want to try carving your own unique jack-o-lantern this year, then make sure you check out a live carving demonstration!

But that’s not all they have.  You can also walk through Dracula’s Haunted Castle, a walkthrough attraction with jump scares that is great for those who love to be scared during the spooky season.  You can challenge yourself on a Bee Hive Maze.

There’s lots of chances for interactive fun, too.  This includes games such as the pumpkin toss games.  You can stop by the Witches’ Brew and get a slime bottle courtesy of The Lab.  Oh, and there’s even a trick-or-treat area!

There are photo opportunities that would look great on your Instagram.  There is a scavenger hunt where you try to find Pumpkinhead Ed.  If you find him, take a picture and tag @findpumpkinheaded for a chance to win a grand prize.  There are fall sweets and treats to enjoy as well.

This is really something the whole family can enjoy together.  And when I say the whole family, I mean the whole family.  Because there are pet nights!  That is one of the specific theme nights available during the event.

Here are all the theme nights:

  • Pet Nights
    • October 14th, 21st & 28th
    • Bring your pet so they can enjoy the fun, too!
