Every year, millions of Americans watch the classic Christmas movie A Christmas Story. This beloved Christmas film is entertaining for adults and children.
And this year, you and your family can watch A Christmas Story – but this time, you can see it live!
You can do this by purchasing a ticket to A Christmas Story Dinner Show! This takes place at the Shepherd of the Hills’ Playhouse Theatre in Branson, Missouri. Branson is already a wonderful place to visit for the holiday season, and now you have one more festive thing to do during your holiday vacation!
A Christmas Story Dinner Show is available on select nights. The first show of the season is Saturday, November 2, 2024. The last show of the season is Thursday, December 26, 2024.
As for the show, it stays pretty true to its source material. It still follows 9-year-old Ralphie on his mission to get a new Red Ryder BB gun on Christmas morning. You’ll get to see some of the most classic scenes from the movie. That of course includes the tongue stuck to the flagpole scene and the scene where Ralphie wears the bunny pajamas. And of course, you’ll see the leg lamp!
The show lasts approximately two hours. During the show, you’ll get to enjoy a delicious meal!

Also, one thing to note that is very important – tickets for this show are selling out very quickly. When I went to purchase tickets, I was told they didn’t have enough tickets left for the date I picked so I had to choose another date. So you will need to purchase your tickets ASAP before they all set out!
