It’s that time of the year again. And, no, I am not referring to the fall season or the beginning of the football season or time for the World Series. No, I mean it’s time to go back to the 16th century. And you can do that by attending the St. Louis Renaissance Festival!
The St. Louis Renaissance Festival takes place at Rotary Park in Foristell, Missouri. It takes place on weekends starting this weekend, on Saturday, September 18, 2021. It runs through October 24, 2021.
Themed Weekends
Each weekend will have a different theme:
- Highland Fling (Weekend #1) – This weekend has a Scottish theme and features contests and Highland Games
- Pups, Pints, and Pirates (Weekend #2) – This weekend features contests for your pets like Wiener Dog Races & the Peanut Butter Licking Contest
- Shamrocks and Shenanigans (Weekend #3) – This weekend features traditional Irish music and dance
- Heroes vs. Villians (Weekend #4) – This weekend features fun contests (like a Game of Thrones or Star Wars costume contest) and other fun activities (like the Hulk Smash and Lightsaber Duel)
- Oktoberfest (Weekend #5) This is one of the most popular weekend and has fun activities like Beer Pong and a Keg Toss
Entertainment
There is a lot of great entertainment at this festival. This includes musical acts, street acts, stage acts, and more. Some of this entertainment includes:

- Live Armored Jousting
You also get a chance to see a lot of mythical creatures and characters. This includes:
