Your knowledgeable guide will tell you about the city’s infamous serial killer, the Axe Man. One of the most notorious serial killers of the 20th century, he left a bloody trail through the city. And to this day, his identity is unknown.
Your guide will tell you the story of Zack and Addie, one of the most infamous murders in the Crescent City’s history. You can stop for a drink at the bar where Zack worked as a bartender.
As you walk the streets of New Orleans, your guide will point out landmarks and tell you their significance to the city. You’ll see the Cabildo, the site where the Louisiana Purchase was finalized. See and hear about the Presbytere, an architecturally important building. It also houses an exquisite collection of Mardi Gras memorabilia and artifacts.
You’ll see the most notoriously haunted house in New Orleans, the LaLaurie Mansion. The owner, aka Mistress of Death, was a Creole socialite who starved, tortured and murdered her slaves. It is believed the haunting at the mansion is caused by the spirits of the slaves who were tortured and died there.
Your guide will tell you about the French Quarter residents alleged to have been involved in the JFK assassination. You’ll also visit a brothel from the Storyville era and hear its stories.
