Celebrate margaritas, salsa dancing, delicious food and live bands at an outdoor festival in Houston, Texas. The Houston Margarita Festival is returning to Water Works Park on Saturday, April 8, 2023, from 12 pm to 10 pm.

Margaritas

If you like margaritas, this festival is for you! They’ll have 19 margarita flavors, including

  • Peach Mango
  • Chocolate
  • Grrrrrape!
  • Pumpkin Spice
  • Raspberry
  • Coconut
  • Watermelon
  • Pomegranite
  • Lime
  • Apple Cucumber

All festival margaritas are made with 100% blue agave tequila.

You’ll receive a Houston Margarita Festival commemorative cup and a complimentary margarita coupon. Once you use your coupon, you can buy drink tickets to get more margaritas. This is a cash only event and ATMs will be available. It is a 21+ event and you should have an official photo ID.

Five of the Houston area’s top restaurants/bars will make their signature margaritas and you can vote for your favorite. There will be a tequila tasting tent with a quality selection of Anejo, reposada and Blanco tequilas chilled and served as shots with a lime.

Entertainment

DJ Freddie B and DJ Woody will be at the festival and will be playing mixes of RnB, Mariachi, Top 40s, Latin Salsa, Hip Hop, Reggae and Zydeco.

There will also be live entertainment at the festival. The performers lineup will include

  • 12 pm to 1 pm – 35 Drive (Country, Blues)
  • 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm – Andie, the Amazing Ice Carver
  • 3 pm to 4 pm – A Sure Thing (Pop, Top 40)
  • 4 pm to 5 pm – Limbo Competition (Cash Prize)
  • 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm – MANGO PUNCH
  • 6:30 pm to 6:45 pm – Best Margarita Showcase
  • 6:45 pm to 7:45 pm – Line Dance Mix
  • 8 pm to 9 pm – Keyan & Zydeco Masters
  • 8 pm to 10 pm – “Final Call” Block Party Mix

Additional Activities

There will be a Limbo Competition. The person with the lowest backbend while under the bar will win $50.

Food trucks will be there offering delectable dishes for purchase. There will also be crafts vendors and merchandise vendors to make for a great shopping experience.

A portion of the proceeds will go to the Twi-Light Twelve Foundation scholarship fund and Houston Vitals Signs.
