Live Drive-In Concert At Charlotte Motor Speedway

I’ll bet you miss going to concerts.  If you do, you should consider going to a concert at a drive-in.  You wouldn’t have to worry about being packed in a crowded auditorium.  You can enjoy entertainment safely in the comfort of your own car with your family and/or friends.

In keeping with the time, the Charlotte Motor Speedway has transformed itself into a drive-in theater.  Musical Artists perform live on the Speedway backstretch.  The stage show is broadcast on the track’s gigantic 16,000 square foot screen.  The music will be broadcast through an FM stereo frequency.  You can listen to this on your car radio or a portable radio.  One ticket is required for each vehicle with up to six people per vehicle.

Patrons will remain socially distanced in their vehicles.  In accordance with North Carolina regulations, you must wear a mask when entering the Speedway and if you leave your vehicle to go to the restrooms.  Venue staff will all wear masks.  They will enforce proper social distancing between cars.  If you like, you can bring your own food and beverages to the shows.

The upcoming concerts include

10/22/20 – Justin Moore

Justin Moore is a Country Music singer and songwriter.  His Number 1 hits include “Small Town USA,” “Til My Last Day,” “You Look Like I Need A Drink,” “If Heaven Wasn’t So Far Away,” “Somebody Else Will,” “The Ones That Didn’t Make It,” “Back Home” and “Lettin’ The Night Roll.”  He was the ACM 2014 New Artist of the Year.

10/23/20 – The Avett Brothers

The Avett Brothers are a folk rock band from Concord, North Carolina.  The San Francisco Chronicle described their sound as the “heavy sadness of Townes Van Zandt, the light pop concision of Buddy Holly, the tuneful jangle of the Beatles, the raw energy of the Ramones…”  Their concert at the Speedway in August was sold out.

10/24/20 – Aaron Lewis & Sully Erna

Godsmack’s Sully Erno and Staind’s Aaron Lewis are performing together for the first time.  Listen to their hits, covers and conversation.  They may never perform together again so don’t miss this.

10/31/20 – Major Lazer

Major Lazer is a Jamaican-American electronic dance music trio.  Their “Lean On” was Bilboard Music Awards 2016 Top Dance/Electronic Song.  Their “Cold Water” won Electronic Music Awards 2017 Single of the Year.
