A great city to spend Valentine’s Day in is Tampa, Florida.  Not only is it a beautiful city, but there are so many great things to do on Valentine’s Day.  We’re going over the best today.

1. Busch Gardens Valentine’s Event

Ever feel like your love life has been a bit of a roller coaster?  Well, you and your partner can take that quite literally this year by enjoying a special event at Busch Gardens theme park.  Because by participating in this event, you’ll get unlimited rides on Busch Gardens Tampa’s longest roller coaster, Cheetah Hunt.

You also get unlimited rides on SkyRide.  This gives you and your partner the chance to cuddle and enjoy romantic views of the park and the animals at night.  Speaking of animals, you also get up-close interactions with some of the park’s animals.

You also get to enjoy hors d’oeuvres stationed throughout the area of the event.  Desserts are also available.  A premium open bar will be serving wine, beer, and signature cocktails.  And you’ll get a free photo to commemorate the event.

You can book this event here.

2. Candlelight Valentine’s Day Special

Listen to beautiful love songs performed by the Listeso String Quartet under the romantic glow of candlelight.

Candlelight: Valentine’s Day Special takes place on Valentine’s Day evening at Centro Asturiano de Tampa.

Songs you may hear during this concert includes:

  • “Love Theme from Romeo and Juliet” – Nino Rota
  • “Moon River” from Breakfast at Tiffany’s – Henry Mancini
  • “My Heart Will Go On” from Titanic – James Horner and Céline Dion
  • “Clair de Lune, L.32” – Claude Debussy
  • “Fantasy Overture” from Romeo and Juliet – Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky
  • “Gabriel’s Oboe” from The Mission – Ennio Morricone
  • “Intermezzo” from Cavalleria Rusticana – Pietro Mascagni
  • “Libertango” – Astor Piazzolla
  • “Méditation” from Thaïs – Jules Massenet
  • “O Mio Babbino Caro” from Gianni Schicchi – Giacomo Puccini
  • “Serenade for Strings in E Minor, Op. 20: II. Larghetto” – Edward Elgar
  • “String Quartet No. 2 in D Major: III. Notturno: Andante” – Alexander Borodin

You can buy a ticket for the event here.

3. Boyz II Men

Boyz II Men is a group that has sung some of the most romantic songs of all time.  So it’s only fitting to spend Valentine’s Day at Boys II Men concert.  They’ll be at the Seminole Hard Rock Tampa Event Center over at one of my favorite Tampa hotels, Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa (which would make a great hotel to stay in for a romantic staycation or vacation – you can see if you can find any availability for the hotel for a good rate here).  Oh, and you can find tickets for the Boys II Men concert here.

4. Moulin Rouge! the Musical

You may be familiar with Moulin Rouge the movie.  I’ve loved it since I first saw it in high school at the movie theater.

But now, it is a hit Broadway musical that is currently touring.  And it will be in Tampa on Valentine’s Day.  So what better way to spend Valentine’s Day than seeing this romantic musical?  It will be at Carol Morsani Hall at the David A. Straz Center.  You can find tickets for the musical here.

5. Private Sunset Cruise with Champaign or Wine

And finally, since this is Tampa, we have to mention a romantic way to spend the holiday is on the water.  A great way to do that is with a private sunset cruise for two on Valentine’s Day.  You’ll see great sights like the Sunshine Skyway Bridge and the beautiful sunset over the water.  Your partner and you can get romantic and sip on champagne or a glass of wine.  You can book this private sunset cruise here.
