June is Pride Month and that means there are a lot of great events coming up in Washington DC for Pride Month.  Today I want to talk about some of the best.  Some of these events you may have heard of.  Some of these events are hidden gems you’ll be pleased to learn about.  And with all the events, I’ll tell you how you can get tickets for them.

1. Capital Pride Festival

Except you won’t need a ticket to the Capital Pride Festival as it is free to all attendees.  The Capital Pride Festival takes place on June 11, 2023, on historic Pennsylvania Avenue.   It is the largest annual event in the national capital region.  It features over 300 exhibitors, entertainment on three stages, food, drink, and more.  It is presented by MGM National Harbor.  You can find out more information about the event here.

2. Pride Glitter Roll a Roller-Skating Experience

What better way to get Pride Month going than roller skating?  The Pride Glitter Roll a Roller-Skating Experience takes place at Hook Hall on Saturday, June 3, 2023, at 8:00 PM.  In addition to roller skating, you can enjoy drink specials, food from Cocalita, and DJs.  You can also save around $4 on your ticket by purchasing your ticket to the event here.

3. FUSE – Pride Womxn’s Party

Everyone under the rainbow is invited to this event!  FUSE – Pride Womxn’s Party takes place at Howard Theatre on Friday, June 10, 2023, from 9:00 PM to 3:00 AM.  DJ MIM, DJ Honey, and DJ Eletrox will be in attendance.  There will also be live entertainment and drink specials all night.  You can purchase a ticket for the event here.

4. Femme Fatale Pride Dance Party

At Femme Fatale: A Queer Dance Party, you can support queer communities through music and movement.  And they are having a special DC PRIDE edition on Saturday, June 10th with DJ MAGIC, DOOBIE, and YATO.  You can purchase a ticket here.

5. River Butcher

River Butcher is a standup comic, actor, and writer.  He’s done stand-up all over the world and have appeared on shows on stations like Ellen, Conan, HBO, and Comedy Central.  You may have also recognized them from their roles as nonbinary standup comic LB Brady on Good Trouble, Adam Conover’s sibling on Adam Ruins Everything, or as queer dinner guest Denim in the hit Friendsgiving.

They will be at Arlington Cinema ‘N’ Drafthouse Thursday, Jun 1, 2023, at 7:00 PM and Friday, Jun 2, 2023, at 9:30 PM.  You can get a discounted ticket to his show if you buy your ticket here.

6. Washington Mystics Pride Night

Have you gone to any Washington Mystics games this year?  The Washington Mystics of course are the area’s WNBA team and from what I have seen of them so far this season, they are definitely a contender.  I recommend going to a game, especially on Pride Night.  This year their Pride Night comes on Friday, June 16, at 7:00 PM.  This is when they take on Brittney Griner and the Phoenix Mercury.  It is a great night for anyone who believes in inclusion, dignity, and equality for all LGBTQ+ people.  You can find a good deal for a ticket to this game here.

7. Washington Spirit Pride Night

Don’t think that the Washington Mystics are the only team in the D.C. area with a great Pride Night coming up!  Washington’s women’s professional soccer team, the Washington Spirit, also has a Pride Night coming up.  It takes place on Saturday, June 3, 2023, when the Washington Spirit takes on the Racing Louisville FC.  This night is neat because attendees get to take home a great souvenir from the game: their very own Spirit Pride flag!  You can buy a ticket for the Pride Night game here.

8. BENT: Pride 2023

BENT: Pride 2023 is an event on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at 9:30 CLUB.  It is hosted by Pussy Noir.  There are also performances by DDM, Molasses, Theo Bromine, Sirene Noir, Sidora Jackson, Dabatha Christie, and Pussy Noir.  DJ Lemz, DJ Kotic Couture, and DJ Sarah Myers will also be in attendance.  You can buy a ticket for this event here.

9. MIXTAPE Pride Party

MIXTAPE Pride Party is another Pride event that takes place at 9:30 CLUB.  This one features Matt Bailer, Khelan Bhatia, Diyanna Monet, and Pwrpuff.  It takes place on Friday, June 9, 2023, at 10:00 PM.  You can buy a ticket for this event here.

10. Gay Men’s Chorus of Washington DC: Dolly

What better way to show your support for the gay community during Pride Month than to support the Gay Men’s Chorus of Washington DC?  Gay Men’s Chorus of Washington DC: Dolly is an upcoming performance that salutes the music of country music-legend Dolly Parton.  You can catch it on June 3rd or June 4th and you can purchase your ticket here.

11. Gay for Rosé

National Rosé Day is on the second Saturday in June and this year, you can celebrate it along with Pride Month at the Gay for Rosé event.  It takes place National Union Building in Washington, D.C.  You can find out more information – and get a coupon for the event – here.

12. Pride Parade

And finally, what is Pride Month without a Pride Parade?  The Pride Parade takes place on Saturday, June 10, 2023, from 3:00 PM to 7:30 PM in the Logan & Dupont Circle Neighborhoods.  This year’s parade will be one of the largest Pride Parades to ever take place in the Nation’s Capital.  You can find out more information here.
