Sea Mar Fiestas Patrias is a celebration of Latino history, honoring the independence of Latin American countries with national holidays in September. It highlights tradition through music, dance and culinary excellence of the cultures.
This festival is hosted by Sea Mar Community Health Centers with the Seattle Center Festival. It will be happening on September 19 and 20, 2026, at the Seattle Center. Fiestas Patrias is free and open to the public.
The kick off for the festival will be the South Park Parade, beginning at 10 am on Saturday. You can expect to see colorful floats, hot rods, dancers, horses, marching bands and people dressed in costumes marching through the heart of South Park! The parade will start at Henderson St. in South Park and will end at the South Park Community Center.
Throughout the weekend, you can enjoy delicious Latin American food. You can also see cooking demonstrations. There will be live music and traditional folk dance performances.
The Viva Art Exhibit features are exhibitions representing Latino culture. Fiestas Patrias will have children’s activities and programming. Enjoy a Zumba workout.
There will be a health fair with free screenings. The theme for 2026 is “Healthy Community, Vibrant Cultures.” It highlights shared resilience and enduring cultural bonds that unite across different regions of origin.
