Gaylord Pacific Resort in Chula Vista, CA has a new Christmas tradition in 2026, ICE! featuring “A Charlie Brown Christmas”. Save 50% on a ticket with a coupon.
There have been ICE! shows at Gaylord Resorts throughout America, but this is the first year ever there will be one at the Gaylord Pacific Resort.
So what exactly is ICE!, you may be wondering? Well, it is a limited time event where popular holiday stories come to live through ice. Ice sculptors work all year to create beloved scenes and characters using ice.
This tradition began two decades ago at Gaylord Opryland in Nashville, Tennessee. And now families in Southern California can see why this event is so popular!
Each year ICE! has a different theme, and the themes are different throughout the different resorts. This year, the Gaylord Pacific Resort’s theme is “A Charlie Brown Christmas!”. So 12 different scenes from the beloved animated Christmas special will be depicted through ice. Seeing and experiencing these sights is exciting. For example, you’ll get to see Snoopy’s famous red doghouse up-close. Not only that, but you can even crawl through it!
But the fun doesn’t stop there. There are five ice slides at the event! They are up to ten feet tall and made of pure ice. One of them is child size. You can slide down of them while being surrounded by beloved images of the Peanuts gang rehearsing for their school Christmas play, Schroeder playing the piano, Snoopy with his guitar, and more.
So if you are in the San Diego area this holiday season, I know you’ll want to check this event out. So keep reading to find out how to save money on your ticket!
